Pipeline layout requirements of the central feeding system

Release Date:

2026-07-09

Author:

Pipes are the core connecting components of a centralised material supply system; the quality of their installation directly affects production performance, and strict adherence to standard layout principles is required to ensure efficient and smooth production. The key guidelines for pipeline routing include: ensuring a rational layout that takes into account both the overall production equipment and the conveying system, whilst adapting to production requirements; ensuring ease of installation, inspection and maintenance; and, whilst meeting conveying requirements, minimising pipeline length and the number of bends as much as possible, whilst strictly controlling the use of horizontal-to-vertical bends and excessively long horizontal pipelines to avoid production issues.

The pipeline is an indispensable connecting device for the central feeding system. If it is not well laid out, the impact will be particularly great. Therefore, the pipeline layout of the central feeding system must follow the basic layout principles to ensure efficient and smooth production.

1. Consider the rationality of the entire production equipment and conveying system configuration to facilitate production.

2. The pipeline installation, overhaul and maintenance of the central feeding system should be convenient.

3. The conveying pipe should be as short as possible under the premise of meeting the conveying requirements.

4. The number of elbows in the central feeding system and automatic feeding system should be as few as possible, especially elbows that transition from horizontal to vertical should be used as few as possible.

5. The horizontal pipe should not be too long, otherwise it is easy to cause adverse consequences.
